Artists to Antarctica Fellowships
The programme encourages New Zealand artists in all disciplines to explore Antarctica through their work, thus increasing New Zealander's understanding of Antarctica's value, and global importance. The Artists to Antarctica Programme was established in partnership with Creative New Zealand and invites applications from serious scholars of the humanities, including writers, illustrators, musicians, photographers and sculptors. Arts Foundation of New Zealand Icon Wards - Whakamana Hiranga
The Arts Foundation of New Zealand has established an honours system to celebrate the living icons of New Zealand arts. Now recognised as leaders in their fields, these artists are our icons, in some cases internationally renowned and often local pioneers in their chosen art forms. Bright Future Scheme Enterprise Scholarship
Enterprise Scholarships support New Zealand students, in partnership with private companies, to undertake a course of student involving a significant research component at a New Zealand tertiary education institution. The scheme will support study and research (with a minimum of 20 percent research) at PhD, masters, Honours, post graduate Diploma, post-graduate Certificate and level 7 NQF (3rd or 4th years under-graduate) levels. http://www.tec.govt.nz/funding/scholarhsips/index.htm
British Council/Scottish International Scholarship Programme
The Scottish International Scholarship Programme is targeted at graduates in science, technology and the creative industries, and aims to create lasting connections between Scotland and industry leaders and entrepreneurs across the world. Creative NZ - Arts Board - Creative and Professional Development funding
Under this programme, the Arts Board supports artists and other arts practitioners to develop their skills, experience, knowledge and networks. Creative NZ - Arts Board - New Work funding
Under this programme, the Arts Board supports the creation of original New Zealand artworks. It also offers grants to organisations to commission or employ artists to create new work. Projects funded under this programme should result in works of art that are ready for an initial presentation to the public. Creative NZ - Arts Board - Presentation, Promotion and Audience Development funding

Enterprise Development Grants - NZ Trade and Enterprise
The Enterprise Development Grants programme (EDG) aims to assist New Zealand businesses and entrepreneurs to gain additional skills and abilities to pursue their business development goals by building capability and supporting development initiatives. New Zealand Winston Churchill Memorial Trust
The Trust helps all kinds of New Zealanders - including community workers, engineers, business people, actors, teachers, nuns, artists - to travel overseas and bring back with them new insights and understanding that will enrich their community and, ultimately, New Zealand as a whole. The Smash Palace Fund, piloted in 2002, is a partnership between Creative New Zealand and MoRST (Ministry of Research Science & Technology). Its aim is to encourage and support the convergence between the arts and science as a building block for innovation and creativity.

The Art Omi International Artists' Residency
The Art Omi International Artists' Residency offers visual artists three-week residencies in the month of July. The Arts Center is located approximately two and a half hours north of New York City in the historic Hudson River Valley. Artists are provided with room and board for the three-weeks. Artists pay for travel, materials, and donate a work of art created during the residency to the Art Omi Foundation Collection. Applications due January 15. http://www.artomi.org/artomi.htm

UNESCO - ASCHBERG bursaries for artists
These annual bursaries aims to promote the professional growth of artists under the age of 35 years in the disciplines of visual arts, music, dance, creative writing, performing arts and media arts, by providing opportunities for further training in specialised institutions.
