Spark Festival is a contemporary arts, media and design festival, that brings together in Hamilton City progressive artists and practioners from our world's creative community. The guests offer specialised presentations and workshops based around their own arts practise, which are free to attend. This year Spark runds from the 3rd to the 7th August.

Spark aims to reflect current thinking of contemporary culture, provoke discussion and inspire new thinking by providing a diverse, wide-ranging and engaging programme that demonstrates creativity at its best. The festival is both an art and cultural event geared to providing an inspiring experience for existing and developing arts audiences in the Waikato region and New Zealand.

Now entering its eleventh year, Spark is a leading national forum for practioners in contemporary culture, and fast establishing itself as an event that offers free access to and opportunities for authentic engagement with high quality international artists and practitioners.
